Shout Out

Shout out to City Year Boston and the Staples Team serving at the Curley K-8! We truly appreciate being selected for Red Jacket Weekend and we love the updates around the building. Thank you also for hosting a great family field day for our community. You continue to remind us of the importance of service learning. Be sure to check out the Lower School ramp, outside play area and the stairwell by the auditorium and gym for updates.

Shout out to Sharon Pina Pitts for being her awesome self. She can take on any job and easily shift gears. Thanks for being a great teammate and remaining calm when things get hectic.

Shout out to Laura Shea for reminding support staff to bring and utilize visual aids with her students outside the classroom. So exciting to see during the first week of school!

Bulletin Boards

Just a reminder that our first bulletin boards should be completed by 5pm on 9/22 for Open House. We are asking teachers to display any word around Curley Cares learning that has occurred. Curley Student Email and Login Info

For those teachers using Chromebook carts and in need of student login information, you can access student email addresses and passwords on the Curley K8 shared drive in the Technology folder. Student user IDs are their email address; their passwords are their 8-digit date of birth. The AllStudents_EMAIL spread sheet is tabbed by grade level. Since it is only the 1st full week of the school year, please expect the list of students to change.
If you notice any errors in the spreadsheet, please inform Kate Davis (kdavis3@bostonpublicschools.org).

If students are unable to login, check that they have entered their email address and DOB correctly. If they have entered their data correctly and are still unable to login, please email Connie (credden@bostonpublicschools.org) or Kate and include the student's BPS ID number and name. The spreadsheet will be updates over the next few weeks and file with student login data in label format will be shared as well.

Lower School Bathrooms

The first floor lower school bathrooms are for K classrooms only. Many of the PACE students need adult supervision when using the bathroom therefore we are asking students first grade and up to use a different bathroom. 1st -4th grade home rooms who use the lower school lunch room should review with their class the location of the closest bathroom before going to lunch. Lunch moms have already been informed of the changes. Also the second floor male staff bathroom will continue to be a PACE only bathroom. There is a male staff bathroom located directly below it on the first floor. Thank you everyone for being flexible with these changes, our students and their families greatly appreciate it.
