There have been several unsafe scenarios as staff/families attempt to exit the Lower School Parking Lot as dismissal is taking place. Dawn Durant will now be stationed there at dismissal stopping cars as staff and students walk by. She will also address any families parking in this lot. (She may need you to point them out to her as she meets everyone in our community.
Halloween
We are again hosting Pajama Day on October 31st. We would love to see our entire Curley Community wearing pajamas. We are asking everyone to donate $2 as a way to raise funds for our Curley Cares student initiatives throughout the school year. The Curley K-8 will not have a Halloween celebration during the school day. As a community we are focused on health and wellness and therefore we ask that all candy remain at home. We are also asking that students leave all costumes, masks, face painting and clown paraphernalia at home as well. Thank you in advance for your support around this matter. Attached is our Celebrations Policy. Fliers will go home to families on Monday this week and next week as well as a robo call next week.Safety at Dismissal

The first Curley Cares assembly of the 2019-2020 school year will be held in Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Curley Cares awards are intended to reinforce positive student behaviors in support of the Curley Cares rules and the expectation/hope is that every Curley K8 student should earn at least one award each year. Please use the OCTOBER 2019 FORM to submit names in order for students your work with to receive an award at our Wednesday, October 23, 2019 Curley Shares assemblies.
- If you'd like to give more than 3 awards, please coordinate with your grade-level colleagues such as specialists or other staff or (if necessary) email Kate (kdavis3@bostonpublicschools.org) directly.
