Shout Out

Shout out to all staff! We are thankful for each and every one of you! Our team works hard each day to support one another as well as our students and families. We feel honored to work with such an amazing group of adults each day. We hope that you all have a restful and enjoyable Thanksgiving Break. Thank you for all you do!  -Katie, David & Adrian

Call to Families

This is a call that went to families about tomorrow. Please make sure to ask families if they signed in upon arrival and that they need to sign their child out if they take them home early. We are hoping to start dismissal around 12:20 if we have buses available. It is important to have the class quiet to hear announcements.
"Good afternoon families. This is Principal Grassa and I am calling to remind you about the early release from school tomorrow, Wednesday, November 25th. Dismissal will take place at 12:30 and there will be no after school programming. Please be sure to be on time to pick up your child from school or at the bus stop. Also families who will be coming into the school for an event must stop at the main office and sign in and if you are taking your child home before 12:30pm they must be signed out in the main office as well. Thank you for your support in advance and we wish you all an enjoyable Thanksgiving Break."

(In hind sight it may have not have been the best timing.) Please nominate your students and staff members by Wednesday, November 25th. We need enough time to get everything printed and organized by 12/3. Thanks!

PD/Stipend Opportunity

Are you interested in learning more about designing cognitively demanding tasks? How about expanding access to rigorous standards-based AWC or Algebra I instruction? We are excited to release the applications for teachers to participate one of two unique professional development opportunities during the February Recess (February 16-19, 2016): February Institute and the UnboundED Conference. Selection for both stipended positions recognizes excellence in teaching and provides the opportunity for motivated and successful educators to enhance their craft and share best practices with fellow teachers. Both positions are posted on TalentED and will close on December 14, 2015.  Please click here for more information.
