Shout Out
Shout out to Craig Melzer and Nina Wessen for leading the Pajama Day fundraiser for our community. Students took part in leading the work as well as showed how much they Care About Others. Thank you for supporting the communities around the world in need and modeling how to CARE!Shout out to Sugeily Santos, Adrian Ward Jackson, Noraa Ricketts, Amy Lieberman, Sharon Ennis, Sylvia Rua, Olivia Peters and Annette Beaudrault for leading the 6th grade Unity Day! Students had an opportunity to work collaboratively, reflect on themselves and move forward as a more positive community! Thank you!
Shout out to Charles Tewksbury for his support and efforts in preparing his class for the author visit last Friday! Charles always CARES about others and has been willing to switch his job to make sure the students are the number one priority. Thanks for always being a team player!
Letting Students in the Building
There have been several students in the mail lobbies each morning who have been let in by staff members. They then let in several other students. Please do NOT let students come in the building unless you are assuming responsibility for them. Please make sure when you enter the doors close behind you. This is necessary to keep students safe and supervised inside the building.Middle School & Specialty Teachers
Additional hall passes have arrived! If yours has been lost or broken, please contact Ms. Peters for a new pass. Additionally, all Specialty teachers will receive a 2nd pass to be used for kids who need to leave class for an extended period of time (nurse trips, guidance passes, etc.). As a reminder, there should be a maximum of one child per class out on a water/bathroom pass at a time.
Attendance
Attendance and student enrollment are a district priority. Jessica and Sugeily have created an Attendance Team including several interns and City Year Corp Members. Please see the attached guidelines for Homeroom teachers regarding attendance and documentation. Please feel free to reach out to Jessica or Sugeily for more information and/or guidance.
