Shout Out
Shout out to Ms. Mary to bringing care and calmness into speciality classes.Shout out to Laura Merdkhanian, Jeannie Park, Laura Shea, Traka Smith and Carolyn Silva-Brisbane for hosting a group of visitors today. It was very inspiring to see children and adults fully engaged in purposeful, meaningful and engaging activities and conversations. The visitors noticed the type of questions the staff were asking the students, the materials they had prepared and how they followed the children's lead in answering questions and offering them choices. They also noticed that teachers had truly planned together and how, each of them, made the curriculum their own. The Chief State Officer's staff were so impressed with the quality of K0-K2 classrooms they saw. They made comments on the level of engagement of the students and the depth of questioning by the teachers.
Shout out to Anna Youman on the birth of her beautiful baby girl, Cora Clementine Youman. She arrived this morning weighing 9lbs. 7oz. and 21 inches long! Mom and baby are doing great!
