Shout Out

Shout out to Ms. Rodriguez, Ms. Craman, Ms. Silverstein, Ms. Quatrale, Ms. Davis, Ms. Tefera and Ms. Ferro for leading the class shares today in the auditorium! All of today's shares had a writing component and directly tied to our instructional focus!

Shout out to Rose Rodriguez and the entire Rodriguez family for sponsoring the Billy B. show yesterday! Students (and teachers) had a great time learning about Science through song and performance!

Staff Text - Free Copies in Upper School Main Office

ALL STAFF (teachers, paras, lunch monitors etc...) can sign out their free copy of Culturally Responsive Teaching and the Brain by Zarretta Hammond. This will be an anchor text for our community throughout this year and possibly next year as well. Your ILT representatives will be checking in with you about reading the Introduction and Chapter 1. They will lead each team through a text protocol discussion as well. If you are not a part of a team we encourage you to join a team for this learning experience. The books belong to the school however staff may put their names in them and highlight/take notes in the text.

Thanksgiving Recess

We will dismiss at 1:10pm on Wednesday, November 22nd. Please check with families and make sure you know how each student will get home. We will NOT have any after-school programming. Schedule will be published soon.

WELCOME TO INTERNATIONAL WEEK!

MCAS Data

Here are some slides showing our overall 2017 MCAS data as well as some subgroup results by grade level. MCAS 2017 Data
There is now a Data/Assessment folder on the Drive. I will be continuing to upload data for teams to review and we will be looking more in-depth at the data at CPT the week of 11/13-11/17, but feel free to go through the documents already uploaded. In each grade-level folder, there is:
  • Item Analysis which shows the results for each item on the MCAS
  • Item Analysis graph which shows the results in graphic form, compared to the district and state
  • Released test items for all MCAS tests at that grade level
  • Rosters that show individual student scores and SGPs from May 2017
