Shout Out
Shout out to Amika Kemmler-Ernst and Konstantinos Petmezis for organizing and hosting school personnel from Japan. They had an enjoyable visit and were excited to see how schools operate in the United States. Thank you also to Laurie Ciardi for allowing them to observe her class.
PD (Staff Shares)
Reminder that PD is for ALL STAFF (Teachers and Paras) on Thursday (tomorrow) from 3:00pm-4:00pm in the auditorium. ALL STAFF should arrive on time and sign in. The agenda for the PD can be found
here and if you have time please review our
Curley Shares Rituals.
Changing the Time on Your Laptop
We heard from several staff that their BPS L4L has the incorrect time on it and has cause staff to be running late. Below is how you can fix the time so it syncs with cellphones.
1. Click on the time on the upper right hand corner of your laptop.
2. Click on "Open Date &Time and Preferences"
3. Change the "Set date and time automatically" to "Apple Americas/US"
Bulletin Boards
We have asked staff to have their bulletin boards completed by September 30th. Unfortunately there is a small group of staff that current do not have a board that is hung just yet. We have ordered more boards and need to have someone from facilities hang them. This has been a longer process than expected and we apologize for that. Staff who do not have a board are not required to have anything posted outside of their room at this time. We are asking that all classrooms have student work posted within the classroom as well, especially for open house next week.
Minutes at CPT
There have been a few questions around taking minutes for CPT. Here is a
template for tracking your agenda and minutes. This should be stored in your team folder under Common Planning Time. The +/DELTA section of the agenda is your teams opportunity to reflect on the meeting. Specifically what you all did well and what could be improved on next time in terms of keeping to your norms, following meeting procedures, meeting the objective of the meeting, team dynamics etc… The Appreciations is a separate part of the meeting that gives us an opportunity to appreciate someone or something and to end the meeting on a positive note. If an administrator is observing your meeting you will receive notes in this
format to help guide the team towards some next steps.
