9/30/15 Daily Bulletin

Shout Out

Shout out to the 6th grade City Year Corps Members! Not only are Charlie, Xander, and Nathaly always at hand to help, they're also pretty awesome at foreseeing what will need to be accomplished and are always seemingly one step ahead. Their level of flexibility with unexpected changes to lessons or student needs is not only appreciated, but admirable.

Testing Accommodations

We are asking all teams/teachers to have testing plans (i.e., who is testing whom for all assessments) in place for students with Accommodations by October 5th. As a reminder, students with testing accommodations should get their accommodations for tests throughout the year, not just for PARCC/MCAS.  Resource Teachers, please work with your general education teachers to ensure that all students' accommodations are put into place for ALL assessments.  Please email testing plans to Jessica and Joyce. If you need help, please contact one of us.

Salad Bar

The Curley School Salad Bar will be back in effect starting Monday, October 5th. We know the students who eat in the upper school cafe have been missed this the first few weeks! Staff may also purchase food from the salad bar during lunches in the upper school! Thanks to our Health and Wellness Committee for assuring that this will continue!

Academics Communication

Thank you to Alisa Fleming and Laurie Ciardi for stepping up to be our Upper School and Lower School Math Facilitator. We still need two ELA facilitators, one from elementary and one from middle school. Please let me know if you are interested ASAP.

Bulletin Boards

Bulletin Boards must be up for Open House on Thursday!    Your display should reflect How are you and your students are building a caring community in your classroom? All displays must have a title and a description of the learning experience.  Please use this template and hang it in the lower right hand corner of your bulletin board. Amika is in the building tomorrow if you need assistance.  Email her at amika45@comcast.net

Student Injuries

Students who come to school with any type of cast, brace, sling or obvious physical injury should not be participating in gym or school sponsored sports activities without a note from their PCP. Please contact the nurses office if you have any further questions.
