Shout Out

Shout out to Genet Mehari, Meg Nason and Cara Hins for planning and facilitating our first Curley Staff Share. It was great to have the staff gather together and we look forward to building on to this new tradition.

Mobile Carts

An excel file is being placed on the Curley Drive, (in the Technology Folder).  You can use this file to identify staff who have met the requirements for using mobile carts.  A list of teachers hosting the computer carts will also be posted once things are completely up and running.  All teachers should have a current BPS Acceptable Use Policy on file whether you plan to use the computers or not.  A copy of this policy is in the Technology folder labeled staff.  Looking forward to seeing many more teachers integrate technology into their instructional plans.  

School Site Council (SSC)

If you are interested in being a member of SSC please reach out to the BTU Reps ASAP. This team meets once per month from 5:30pm-7:00pm and we are looking for 6 BTU members to participate and vote on behalf of the staff.

Grievance

If your class if over enrolled (meaning more than the maximum number has actually reported to school) then you should file a class size grievance with the BTU Reps. Please do so ASAP because class size review will take place next week and we want to assure that we get the proper resources.

Open House

Just a reminder that Open House will take place next week from 5pm-7pm. We want teams to decide what to share with families and to remind you all that this is not a personal conference with each family. Staff should share an overview of the school year as well as have student work posted in the room for families to see. Also please remind families about this event. It will be posted in the Paw Prints and a Connect Ed call will go out to families as well.

Fall Fling

The School Parent Council (SPC) will host their first fundraising event of the year on Friday, October 16th from 5:30pm-8:00pm. The SPC would like to invite all teachers and their families to this fun evening.
